		<description>While I agree with most everything here, I would be reluctant to recommend vegetarians eat tofu as a &quot;substitute for poultry and fish&quot;. Soy products have been found to contribute to hormonal imbalance when eaten regularly in large quantities. Tofu&#039;s popularity in recent years is often referenced by it&#039;s use in the far east for centuries. However, the traditional daily intake in Japan has been about a teaspoon or two per day.

I would say that if a vegetarian could some degree of fish or other seafoods in the diet, that would be preferable. Dietary supplements become very important in a diet of devoid of animal sources.</description>
