Effectively Annihilate Cravings For Junk Eating Natural Fast Food

I don’t feel that it’s far off to suggest that having just green smoothies can provide practically every thing your body demands to maintain health. Short of perhaps Vitamin D and Vitamin B12, I believe, these beverages offer everything (with protein to boot). The worst part for me when I started off on green smoothies were the unhealthy cravings. Learn how I got past them once and for all.

I would like to start out by telling you that the contents of this article only my opinion which is based on information I have read on the topic of health and from the 10+ years living and eating the way I have daily. Couple that with my blood work results every 6 months that indicates no deficiencies, I think this information is very valuable. Perhaps it just works for me, my genetics and body type, I can’t say for sure. But, just like cigarette smoke definitely will affect each of us with varying degrees of health negatives, green smoothies, I feel, definitely will affect each of us with varying degrees of health positives. Try it for yourself, after speaking with your natural health practitioner.

The body is equipped to heal itself correct? Why is it that so many people are becoming and staying sick? Maybe it’s an inaccurate statement, and the body is not equipped to heal itself? No! The dilemma is that people today a) do not give the body with the correct amount of tools, usually by way of diet, it needs to heal itself and b) we bombard our body with things that hinder the functionality of the small amount of proper resources that we actually do provide it.

I’m a huge admirer of the raw food diet. The suggestion that adding heat to food past a certain temperature destroying much needed enzymes that are important for assimilation makes sense to me. Beyond that, it is implied that to get the most out of our food that we should be chewing it it until it disappears. We have troubles handling big pieces of food. Also, I strongly believe that we can thrive with a a diet of primarily fruits and greens, with the occasional healthy fats. For the healthy fats, avocados, soaked nuts and seeds is all I consume.

My main meals every single day are comprised of plenty of raw fruits and green vegetables in the form of green smoothies. Smoothies, being essentially liquefied, my body is able to assimilate the nutrients without a problem.

A giant hurdle for most people when switching diets, and a huge one for myself is addressing cravings for bad foods. Just like someone that is addicted to drugs or alcohol must go through a detox in order to heal, we pretty much must to do a similar thing. The cells in our body are comprised of stuff from foods that we have ingested in the past. The body generally craves much of the same unhealthy foods that contribute to the contents of the individual sick cells in our bodies. For drug detoxes, often times, sauna therapy is used to removes the drugs through perspiration. This could help eliminate the physical drug cravings which will allow the person a better chance at sobriety. For us, adjusting our eating habits may influence the clearing of toxic foods as well which can be conveniently removed in stool, sweat and maybe urine as well. But, we may still crave those foods while some of the toxic elements in our cells are still there.

I have found that right away after having the first drink of my green smoothie the cravings for grease, meat, salt, etc began to calm down. After I was finished drinking the smoothie, the unhealthy cravings passed completely and I would be content. The problem then was that the unhealthy cravings would return as I grew hungry. So I started to make sure I was on top of it and would have another green smoothie ready before the cravings would reoccur, or not too long after they began. The unhealthy cravings sooner or later subsided for good as I became healthier. And then I started to crave greens instead!
