Choosing The Right Space For Your Yoga Business

There are a few considerations to be made in order to choose the right yoga space for your yoga business.

Firstly you want to choose a space in tranquil surroundings.  Or if the surroundings are not tranquil, a space that can be made tranquil.

Loud noise does not help the yoga state at all nor the ambience of the yoga space, nor a yoga business.  Noisy environments such as loud bars and clubs, busy main roads and other noisy establishments are to be avoided.

Fresh air also needs to be circulating in the yoga studio.  So you need a location where you can open the windows.  There will be a clash of the sound environments if there is noise coming from an outside location.  Often it is not possible to turn the music up loud enough to drown out the noise, because otherwise when you are teaching, your voice won’t be heard.

It is a good idea before committing to that space and taking out a rental lease to see if you can test out the sound levels.  See if you can use the space for a few meditation sessions.  Check out the sound at different times in the day and week to be sure to get a good idea.  Some locations can be noisy in the morning but quiet at night and vice versa.

Speak to the previous tenants if sound tests can’t be done prior to contract agreements.  See what their experience of the noise levels were like.

It is even better however if you can find a naturally quiet space close to nature.  Natural environments are much more harmonious to a yoga practice.  Nature and natural environments have a cleaner energy which are more conducive to a yoga practice.

If it fits in with the overall yoga business plan, spaces close to nature should be strongly considered.  Obviously geographic location needs to be taken into account for your yoga business.
