To ensure you are doing everything properly it is best to have a teacher, but a lot can be done at home, especially once you know the basics.

  3. I think when choosing a beginner’s Yoga class finding a teacher and atmosphere that is right for you should be the paramount concern. When I first decided to learn Yoga I went to a very fashionable yoga school in London, the atmosphere was very pretentious and the teacher intimidating and without any patience. It put me off Yoga for a year until I found a much friendlier class run from a local church.
